{"id":1068466,"date":"2022-04-27T11:30:37","date_gmt":"2022-04-27T11:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/04\/27\/5-cpp-national-executives-granted-bail-politics\/"},"modified":"2022-04-27T11:30:37","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T11:30:37","slug":"5-cpp-national-executives-granted-bail-politics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/04\/27\/5-cpp-national-executives-granted-bail-politics\/","title":{"rendered":"5 CPP National Executives Granted Bail | Politics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Five national executive officers of the Convention People\u2019s Party (CPP) have been granted self-recognizance bail by the Adabraka Police in Accra for allegedly making derogatory statements about their National Chairperson, Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Sarpong-Kumankumah.<\/p>\n<p>The national executive officers who reported to the Adabraka Police Station last Monday to give their statements are to report to the police on May 11, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>They are the General Secretary, Nana Yaa Akyempem Jantuah; National Organiser, Yirimambo Moses Ambing; National Treasurer, Emmanuel Opare-Addo; National Women Organiser, Hajia Aisha Sulley Futa and National Youth Organiser, Osei Kofi Acquah.<\/p>\n<p>The Adabraka Police confirmed inviting the five national officers to the station to give their statements regarding a complaint of insult lodged against them by Nana Sarpong-Kumankumah.<\/p>\n<p>According to the police, no charge had been preferred against the five national officers yet but had been granted self-recognizance bail and are to report on May 11, 2022.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Briefing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the media after giving their statements to the police, Nana Yaa Jantuah said they were invited by the Adabraka Police, following a complaint lodged against them by their embattled national chairperson.<\/p>\n<p>She said Nana Sarpong-Kumankumah had reported to the police that they (the five national officers) had insulted her and had also made some derogatory statements about her.<\/p>\n<p>She said they were therefore summoned by the police to provide them with their statements on the matter.<\/p>\n<p>The CPP General Secretary noted that whatever thing that is happening within the party now is about its constitution and not about any individual.<\/p>\n<p>The National Women&#8217;s Organiser of the party, Hajia Aisha Sulley Futa, for her part, described the action taken by the national chairperson of the party against them as unfortunate.<\/p>\n<h3><strong\/><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"peace_black_text_4\">Source: graphic.com.gh<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<table width=\"100%\" border=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" style=\"clear:both\">\n<tr>\n<td><span class=\"peace_red_text_1\">Disclaimer<\/span>: <span class=\"peace_ash_text_1\">Opinions expressed here are those of the writers and do not reflect those of Peacefmonline.com.
