The Denkyira Kingdom has exist since 1500 century.<\/p>\n

Denkyira was a powerful nation of Akan people that existed before what is now modern-day Ghana. Like all Akans, they originated from Bono state. Before 1620, Denkyira was called Agona. The ruler of the Denkyira was called Denkyirahene and the capital was Jukwaa. The first Denkyirahene was Mumunumfi.<\/p>\n

The people have done well in preserving its rich Culture.<\/p>\n

The Burial rites of the Denkyirahene,Odeefuo\u00a0Boa-Amponsem III\u00a0<\/strong>is ongoing in Dunkwa-on-Offin and so far we\u2019ve seen some amazing, scary, interesting and unique photos\u2013depicting the Culture of the people of Denkyira.<\/p>\n
