{"id":1065955,"date":"2022-04-25T06:15:20","date_gmt":"2022-04-25T06:15:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/04\/25\/im-not-an-atheist-okyeame-kwame-clarifies\/"},"modified":"2022-04-25T06:15:20","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T06:15:20","slug":"im-not-an-atheist-okyeame-kwame-clarifies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/04\/25\/im-not-an-atheist-okyeame-kwame-clarifies\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;I&#8217;m Not An Atheist&#8217; &#8211; Okyeame Kwame Clarifies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<h2 id=\"h-ghanaian-musician-kwame-nsia-aapu-who-is-widely-known-as-okyeame-kwame-has-made-some-clarifications-about-his-faith\">Ghanaian musician, Kwame Nsia Aapu who is widely known as Okyeame Kwame has made some clarifications about his faith.<\/h2>\n<p>Taking to his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Facebook, the award-winning musician quashed claims that he is an atheist adding that he is not, however, he just questions everything.<\/p>\n<p> he made reads;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSunday reflection<br \/>I\u2019m not Atheist, I just question everything,<br \/>A few weeks ago someone commented under one of my reflections saying \u201cyou don\u2019t believe in God why do you say God should bless Sadhguru ?<br \/>My response was very simple, I have never said or written anywhere that I don\u2019t believe in God.<br \/>Of course the dabate went on and on and people called me all sorts of names including Atheist.<br \/>How can you call me an Atheist when at least twice every week I\u2019m on social media saying God should bless someone?<br \/>I think I know where the problem is coming from, I once wrote that, we should rather know God and not just believe God.<br \/>Knowing is absolute but believe is unsure.<br \/>If I tell my wife I believe I love her , she might slap me, but if I say I know I love you, you know the rest.<br \/>In a court testimony, If I say I believe I witnessed the action, the judge might lock me up for contempt but I know what happened is a testimony.<br \/>Saying I believe there is God and I know there is God are two separate things.<br \/>God is a German word that means force.<br \/>So when I say God bless you , what I mean is, may the force of the universe bless you.<br \/>I guess the conflict is in which force? the Jewish force, the Arabian force , the African force, the European force, the Akan force, the Ewe force or the Universal force?<br \/>Religion has devided man into groups based on history, culture, traditions and ideologies. This division has created false loyalty or loyalties to our individual groups based on our identity and the power of the God that group fears and worships.<br \/>Due to this, man is blinded to the oneness and the universality of God.<br \/>Most thinkers agree with the Akans that there is only one God, (Onyame \u2013 Kro \u2013 Pon).<br \/>Since the spirit behind the universe is not an object, then it stand to reason that it cannot be counted.<br \/>So why are we fighting over who has the best God?<br \/>No matter which religion one belongs to, I think it is safe to say that one of the key characters of this force is love and where is the presence of this love when we keep dividing ourselves into groups, sects and religions? Is the Buddhist not preaching love to all ? Is the Muslim not doing same?<br \/>Didn\u2019t Christ say the greatest is love?<br \/>Are the Africans not preaching Ubuntu ( I am because you are)?. If the answer is yes, then why do we allow ancient ideologies to divide us in 2022?<br \/>I know there is God. I interact with it everyday.
