{"id":1061215,"date":"2022-04-19T21:12:45","date_gmt":"2022-04-19T21:12:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/04\/19\/constituency-elections-npp-opens-nominations\/"},"modified":"2022-04-19T21:12:45","modified_gmt":"2022-04-19T21:12:45","slug":"constituency-elections-npp-opens-nominations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/04\/19\/constituency-elections-npp-opens-nominations\/","title":{"rendered":"Constituency Elections: NPP opens nominations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\n                                                   Accra, April 19, GNA &#8211; The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday opened nominations for individuals aspiring to lead the Party at the constituency level.<\/p>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/1.21458989.jpg\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" class=\"kMediaObject\"\/><\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">The Party will, from April 28 to May 2, 2022, hold constituency elections to elect new officers.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">Addressing the media in Accra, Mr John Boadu, General Secretary, NPP,\u00a0 said the Party postponed the scheduled date for the election due to the chaos that characterised the polling station elections.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">The Party\u00a0rescheduled its polling station elections originally planned for April 24  to April 28, 2022,\u00a0to between\u00a0 April 28 and May 2, 2022, due agitations from some members over voters&#8217; registers concerns and other issues.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">Mr Boadu said going by the new date, nomination forms would be sold at all Party offices across the country.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">He said the date for its National Delegates Congress to elect new national officers remained unchanged.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">&#8220;The Party will, from July 14, 2022, to July 16, go on with its national election.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">\u201cThe national election will be held on the initial date. We do not intend to change the dates.
