A group photo of the award winners<\/strong><\/p>\n THE GHANA Beverages Awards (GBA) has held its 6th edition with stakeholders of the beverage industry receiving various awards.<\/p>\n The awards scheme is aimed at rewarding excellence in Ghana\u2019s beverage industry whiles providing an avenue for stakeholders and key players to network and deliberate on issues for the industry\u2019s advancement.<\/p>\n Ernest Boateng, Chief Executive Officer for Global Media Alliance, organisers of the event, commended the beverage industry for their contribution to national development while re-iterating the scheme\u2019s commitment to supporting the industry.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is always our delight to provide an avenue as this which gives room for interaction, and networking among enthusiasts of Ghana\u2019s beverage industry at the same time providing the opportunity for key industry players and stakeholders to share ideas relevant for the growth of their industry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Deputy Minister for Trade and industry, Michael Okyere Baafi, assured the industry of government\u2019s support and commended players for their numerous interventions aimed at giving back to the communities in which they operate.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the face of all the economic difficulties all of which could stall the hard work of the beverage industry, we acknowledge the strong will of our stakeholders to remain in business.\u00a0 The Government of Ghana, fully aware of the heavy blow the COVID-19 pandemic has dealt the beverage industry, is committed to demonstrating its support for all Small & Medium Scale Enterprises (SMES) in the industry through the appropriate policies and incentives,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He added that, \u201cThe beverage industry has consistently demonstrated a sense of responsibility by giving back to the society within which it operates.
