In case you missed it, Britney Spears announced earlier this week that she\u2019s welcoming her first child with fianc\u00e9 Sam Asghari.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n The pop star also shares two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n There was also a new episode of Saturday Night Live<\/i> this weekend, and the cold open featured a wide variety of public figures \u2014 Dr. Anthony Fauci, Elon Musk, NYC Mayor Eric Adams, and so on \u2014 offering some Easter-themed messages.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n One of the impressions on display: SNL<\/i> cast member Chloe Fineman as Britney herself.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \u201cHey y\u2019all! It\u2019s me, Britney,\u201d she began her impersonation, before attempting to replicate some of Brit\u2019s notorious IG dancing videos and saying, \u201cI bet you didn\u2019t think I could do this.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Chloe then moved on to some jokes about Britney\u2019s recently dissolved conservatorship and the pregnancy announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \u201cRemember six months ago when everyone was like, \u2018We need to get her out of this conservatorship, and now you\u2019re like, \u2018Someone\u2019s still gonna check on her right?\u2019\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \u201cWell, don\u2019t worry, I\u2019m finally free, and I\u2019m having a baby! I just pray my baby is born happy, healthy, and with the power of attorney.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n All in all, pretty toothless satire \u2014 but, also, just the act of making fun of Britney in any context seems like a\u2026choice, given the recent past and everything we know now.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n The conversation around the doc was visible and seemingly inspired some sort of cultural shift when it comes to how female-identifying celebrities are scrutinized and mocked in the public sphere \u2014 but, given this latest SNL<\/i> sketch, maybe that was wishful thinking.
