The contingent in a pose before departure at the Kotoka International Airport.<\/strong><\/p>\n Division Two campaigners, M\u0160K \u017dilina Africa FC, has left the shores of Ghana for a special tournament in Dubai.<\/p>\n The 20-man contingent flew out of the country on Sunday for a two-week training tour of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They comprised 16 players and four officials.<\/p>\n They are scheduled to represent Ghana in a competition to commemorate the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, and also play friendly matches against topflight UAE sides such as Al Ain, Al Jazeera and Al-Nasr.<\/p>\n A total of ten matches have been arranged for the team before returning to Ghana on April 23.<\/p>\n President of M\u0160K \u017dilina Africa, Ishmael Lamptey, said it was necessary for his young team to gain experience in international football.<\/p>\n He said this would not only enhance their careers but put them in the shop window and provide them with the opportunity to further their careers overseas.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s very important because we have realised that when our players are scouted to Europe, at times they panic during trials and matches,\u201d said the president.<\/p>\n \u201cThis does not only affect M\u0160K but also our junior national teams, where players struggle during international competitions,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n He expressed the hope that members of the 16-man playing body would also catch the eye of suitors during their stay in Dubai.<\/p>\n M\u0160K \u017dilina Africa FC is affiliated to Slovak Superliga club M\u0160K \u017dilina, and competes in the Ghana Division Two League under the Greater Accra Division Two League and also in the MTN FA Cup.<\/p>\n The club was founded in 2018 and adopted the La MacDan town park as its official home grounds.<\/p>\n From The Sports Desk<\/strong><\/p>\n \n\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The contingent in a pose before departure at the Kotoka International Airport.
