Paul Pogba has been described as \u2018effectively gone\u2019 at\u00a0Manchester United\u00a0and the club have reportedly already started to plan for life without him.<\/p>\n
The France international has fewer than three months left on his \u00a3290,000-per-week contract at Old Trafford and\u00a0Paris Saint-Germain\u00a0and\u00a0Juventus\u00a0are among the clubs keen on him.<\/p>\n
The 29-year-old remaining at United has yet to be ruled out because there is no guarantee the French and Italian giants can offer the wages he wants, with\u00a0Juventus\u00a0reportedly only able to offer \u00a38million a season\u00a0\u2013 just over half of his current \u00a315m wage at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
But the Manchester Evening News claim they have been told Pogba is \u2018effectively gone\u2019 at United, and that the club has being preparing for his departure for most of the season.<\/p>\n
The report adds those plans have included a look towards the summer transfer window, when they will look to sign at least one new midfielder, with Pogba\u2019s France team-mate\u00a0Aurelien Tchouameni among those linked.<\/p>\n
The same outlet claims PSG have made a bid for Pogba, the terms of which are believed to be lower than the final package United put together in a seemingly futile attempt to convince the midfielder to stay.<\/p>\n
The report claims, however, that Pogba prefers a return to Juventus \u2013 who he left for \u00a389million in 2016 for United \u2013 and that Real Madrid\u2019s interest has subsided significantly since fellow Frenchman Zinedine Zidane left last year.<\/p>\n
Pogba remained coy last week on his future but struggled to hide his disappointment at United\u2019s results,\u00a0telling French TV programme\u00a0Telefoot<\/em>: \u2018The season is not over yet, but almost because we don\u2019t have any more titles to play for.<\/p>\n \u2018I want to win titles, to play for something and this year and the last few years we haven\u2019t won a title. It\u2019s sad.<\/p>\n \u2018Totally [playing for France is a breath of fresh air]. That\u2019s the truth.
