{"id":1042103,"date":"2022-04-01T19:01:43","date_gmt":"2022-04-01T19:01:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/04\/01\/algerian-football-federation-file-complaint-against-cameroon\/"},"modified":"2022-04-01T19:01:43","modified_gmt":"2022-04-01T19:01:43","slug":"algerian-football-federation-file-complaint-against-cameroon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/04\/01\/algerian-football-federation-file-complaint-against-cameroon\/","title":{"rendered":"Algerian Football Federation File Complaint Against Cameroon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Mohammed Salisu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum, has said the FA has made several attempts without success to get Mohammed Salisu to play for the Black Stars.<\/p>\n<p>Countless invitations from CK Akonor, Milovan Rajevac and currently Otto Addo to play for his motherland have fallen through.<\/p>\n<p>The Southampton centre back says he needs more time to get himself ready for national duty.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on <em>Citi TV<\/em>, Asante Twun said that Salisu was given an invite by Otto Addo for Ghana\u2019s World Cup game against Nigeria but he could not honour it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve made overtures about four to five times, CK tried and wasn\u2019t successful, Milovan did the same too and wasn\u2019t successful, even Otto Addo tried and Salisu still thinks he needs time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The FA\u2019s communications boss added, \u201cI think we have gotten to a point where we have to focus on players who are willing to play than players who are dragging their feet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ghana will know their group opponents for the World Cup at today\u2019s draw in Qatar.<\/p>\n<p>The Black Stars qualified after a 1-1 drawn game with Nigeria in Abuja, qualifying on away goal rule.<\/p>\n<p>With Ghana making it to Qatar in November, the defender\u2019s potential call up has stoked heated debate among the football fraternity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By Kofi Owusu Aduonum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- AI CONTENT END 2 -->\n\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mohammed Salisu Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum, has said the FA has made several attempts without success to get Mohammed Salisu to play for the Black Stars.
