Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba<\/strong><\/p>\n Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has said he experienced depression during Jose Mourinho\u2019s time at the club.<\/p>\n Pogba re-signed for United during Mourinho\u2019s first season at Old Trafford in 2016 for a then-world-record fee of \u00a389.3 million from Juventus.<\/p>\n The France international won three trophies under Mourinho in their debut campaign together, but their relationship eventually broke down, and the Portuguese stripped Pogba of the vice-captaincy in the 2018-19 season.<\/p>\n Mourinho was sacked as United manager in December 2018, and Pogba has said he struggled with confidence during this period<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve experienced depression many times in my career, but you don\u2019t talk about it,\u201d he told Le Figaro<\/em>. \u201cSometimes you don\u2019t know who you are, you just want to isolate yourself, be alone. These are unmistakable signs.<\/p>\n \u201cPersonally, it started when I was with Jose Mourinho at United. You ask yourself questions, you wonder if you are at fault, because you have never experienced these moments in your life.\u201d<\/p>\n Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho experienced a difficult relationship during their two-year spell at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n \u201cAll top athletes go through these moments but few talk about it.
