The National Service Secretariat (NSS) says arrears of allowance for January have been paid into the accounts of service personnel as of Tuesday, March 22, 2022.<\/p>\n

This comes after some National Service personnel called on the scheme\u2019s managers to pay their allowances that have been in arrears for two months.<\/p>\n

\u201cManagement had said that the January allowance was going to be paid. Because of the work that we have put in, the January allowances were paid, and it was reflected in the personnel\u2019s E-zwich accounts yesterday [Tuesday]. So I can confirm to you that, the January allowances of all service personnel who had duly submitted endorsed appraisal forms at the district and regional offices have paid\u201d, Public Relations Officer for NSS Armstrong Esaah told Citi News<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mr. Esaah added that arrears of allowance for February will be paid soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can also confirm that management has also worked on the February arrears, and it will also be cleared in the shortest possible time. The\u00a0<\/span>challenge has been identified and has been solved, so there won\u2019t be such delays in subsequent disbursement.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

National Service Personnel in the country have over the weeks been lamenting the hardship<\/strong> they are going through as they have not been paid their allowances.<\/p>\n

Some personnel have reportedly not received any allowance since October 2021.<\/p>\n
