That is the only way we can sustain our transport industry,\u201d he told Kwetey Nartey.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier today, news broke that prices of petroleum products will from Wednesday, March 16 experience a significant surge as consumers are expected to pay GH\u00a211 per litre.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>On the back of this, Mr Imoro in an interview on\u00a0<strong>JoyNews<\/strong>\u00a0noted that the executives are deliberating on the percentage of adjustment to be made to the existing fares.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"300\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" allow=\"autoplay\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/1232795155&amp;color=%23ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false&amp;show_teaser=true&amp;visual=true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>He, however, mentioned that government has not engaged the Union on the recent price hikes at the fuel pumps.<\/p>\n<p>The Union\u2019s Communications Head further blamed government for the frequent transport fare adjustment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe came up with this strategy which would have helped, we wouldn\u2019t have gotten to where we are today, because internally, we have created our taxes, levies, and margins of which we engaged government about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the government listened to us or was able to do something about it, we wouldn\u2019t be here.
