It is the easiest calculation anybody could do. Ukraine and Russia don\u2019t seem to be ending any moment soon,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>In less than two weeks, the prices of diesel and petrol have increased by over 30 percent and are selling at \u00a28.29 at the pumps.<\/p>\n<p>Public transport operators also effected a <strong>15 percent increment in transport fares <\/strong>in response to the changes in fuel prices.<\/p>\n<p>Already, people are blaming the government for not doing enough to cushion Ghanaians against the hardship caused by the rise in fuel prices.<\/p>\n<p>But, Duncan Amoah said the current situation is beyond the government\u2019s control.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the Russia-Ukraine conflict has affected international market price \u2013 a situation he said will be dire for Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTimes are hard and it doesn\u2019t look like the fuel prices will be coming down soon.
