Nick Cannon has addressed his talk show being axed after just one season, admitting it was a \u201cdream come true\u201d, but that it \u201cshow business\u201d.<\/p>\n
The 41-year-old star said it was a \u201cdream come true\u201d to have his own show, but he understands the decision because he is a \u201cbusinessman\u201d.<\/p>\n
Speaking on \u201cThe Nick Cannon Show\u201d, he said: \u201cThis is show business, right? And we know the biggest word in that is \u2018business\u2019, and this is a business.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a businessman, I know that as much fun as we have on the show, business is the thing that makes this whole thing tick and operate.<\/p>\n
\u201cHonestly, I show up each and every day bright and early to give you a show, but I\u2019m also a businessman, and you understand when there\u2019s certain forms and certain platforms.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis has been a dream come true for me to be able to do this for you each and every day, but my business mind, I want to expand and elevate in a way.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat this has shown me over the last six months, together, you guys have really become my family.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the best working crew, best I\u2019ve ever dealt with. I\u2019ve gotta say thank you \u2026 we laughed together, we cried together, we prayed together. And like I always say, \u2018I\u2019m here to do what I can and let God do what I can\u2019t.\u2019 \u201c<\/p>\n
Nick described his show as a \u201cblessing\u201d, and insisted there are still more episodes to come.<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cI\u2019m gonna still be here, I\u2019m still gonna do this. I ain\u2019t going nowhere, but it\u2019s about broadening my audience and really tapping into my audience in a big way.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis ain\u2019t over, we still got more shows. This is not the last show.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m excited to be part of a business where I get to try so many things. It\u2019s truly been a blessing and this has been a dream come true and thank you all for allowing me to have my dreams and come into your home.\u201d<\/p>\n
In December, Nick bravely announced on his talk show that his five-month-old son Zen \u2013 who he shared with model Alyssa Scott \u2013 had tragically died from a brain tumour.<\/p>\n
He told his audience: \u201cOver the weekend I lost my youngest son to a condition called hydrocephalus that was pretty much a malignant, invasive mid-line brain tumour \u2013 brain cancer. It\u2019s tough.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis weekend I made an effort to spend the most quality time with Zen. We woke up on Sunday and went to the ocean with him and Alyssa, and then I had to fly back to New York for the show.<\/p>\n
\u201cI got a call on my way to the airport to head back to Zen.\u201d<\/p>\n
