A\u00a0honeymoon\u00a0is traditionally supposed to be a special time for\u00a0newlyweds,\u00a0giving them space to be away from the various cares and responsibilities of their everyday lives.<\/p>\n

Whether they plan on sunning themselves on a golden beach or wandering the streets of a historic city, most loved up brides would naturally expect to have plenty of time alone to gaze into their new husband\u2019s eyes, thinking about the shared future that lies ahead of them.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s fair to say the vast majority of them wouldn\u2019t expect to be joined by their mother-in-law as they walk hand in hand under the stars with their beloved, or slip into the hot tub with a glass of fizz.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, one bride-to-be had been left dismayed after her fianc\u00e9 asked his mum whether she wanted to join in on their honeymoon during a drive back from the shops.<\/p>\n

Taking to\u00a0Reddit,\u00a0the 22-year-old woman explained that she is due to get married in four months\u2019 time and that she and her 33-year-old future husband have planned everything together as a team, including their honeymoon.<\/p>\n

She wrote: \u201cAt first, a few months ago, he said he want to change our honeymoon to a family vacation so his parents and my mom can get along know each other more I agreed so we researched where to go and for how long\u201d.<\/p>\n

Just a few weeks later, her fianc\u00e9 changed his mind on this front, stating that he didn\u2019t want to bring his family along given that his relationship with them is \u201ckind of rough\u201d. Once again, she agreed, and they began drawing up a honeymoon plan for two.<\/p>\n

However, this wasn\u2019t to be the last time he\u2019d backtrack on this matter.<\/p>\n

The poster \u2013 who goes by the username\u00a0u\/Legal_Ar<\/em>madillo2233\u00a0\u2013 continued: \u201cEverything was going fine until a few days ago when I was shopping with my soon-to-be mother-in-law. On the ride home my boyfriend asked her if she want to join us on our honeymoon. I was shocked and mad but I stay silent\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter we dropped her off, I asked him how if my mom doesn\u2019t want to go with us (my mom really said she doesn\u2019t want), he said it\u2019s ok and we can just go with his family. It really bothered me but because we had plans to meet his friend afterwards, I just kept it to myself to not ruin the mood\u201d.<\/p>\n

After heading home, the ticked-off woman texted her other half to express her frustrations about the sudden and unexpected change of plan.<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cThen he became mad as well because he thinks I\u2019ve made a big deal out of something that isn\u2019t so important. In the end, we both got mad and are still giving each other the silent treatment\u201d. <\/p>\n

As she explained in the post, she isn\u2019t cross about the plan being changed, she\u2019s cross because he didn\u2019t talk it over with her first. Although she believes she has the right to be angry about how things unfolded, he\u2019s also made her feel \u201cguilty for making a fuss about something small\u201d.<\/p>\n

She later clarified in the comments section that this isn\u2019t the first time that her partner has changed plans without consulting her first, and she\u2019s alluded to similar situations with the rings and the prewedding photoshoot.<\/p>\n

Her fellow Reddit users have been quick to reassure her that she shouldn\u2019t feel guilty at all, with one person commenting: \u201cI would be madder about him constantly changing the plan, and not consulting you\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just so annoying, and if I\u2019m being honest, a bit of a red flag. He\u2019s forcing you into situations that you don\u2019t want to be in, taking advantage of the fact that you can\u2019t make a scene in public\u201d.<\/p>\n

Another wrote: \u201cThis isn\u2019t a minor flaw. A minor flaw is \u2018he goes to the toilet and leaves the door open\u2019, not \u2018he makes lots of decisions by himself or changes decisions we made together without asking me\u2019. That is a big flaw, and would be a serious problem for most people\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone who makes all the decisions without involving you is not a nice man, and is thinking about themselves and not about you and your needs and wishes\u201d.<\/p>\n
