(ENT) Nurses Association, Ghana has organised a free ear health screening for staff of the Multimedia Group Limited.<\/p>\n<p>The exercise was to commemorate the 2022 World Hearing Day on March 3.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.adomonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/MGL-EAR-HEALTH-SCREENING-EXERCISE_32-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/MGL-EAR-HEALTH-SCREENING-EXERCISE_32-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2087133\"  \/><\/figure>\n<p>It was in collaboration with ear assessment centres including Krispat and New Star Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the exercise, employees were sensitised on association based at the Ga West Municipal Hospital, Mrs Emelina Afari, said the exercise was part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large was chosen for the exercise as part of week-long activities marked nationwide.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large wax impartation which was an ear washout session and a physical examination of the ear (Otoscopy).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.adomonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/MGL-EAR-HEALTH-SCREENING-EXERCISE_10-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/MGL-EAR-HEALTH-SCREENING-EXERCISE_10-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2087159\"  \/><\/figure>\n<p>An audiologist, Jonas Mantey Nuertey, from New Star, conducted a hearing assessment and brief counselling session for the staff.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.adomonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/MGL-EAR-HEALTH-SCREENING-EXERCISE_14-1-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/MGL-EAR-HEALTH-SCREENING-EXERCISE_14-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2087165\"  \/><\/figure>\n<p>He cautioned the general public to avoid inserting objects into their ears, notably, cotton buds as they can leave some tissues damaged.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.adomonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/MGL-EAR-HEALTH-SCREENING-EXERCISE_26-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" important to seek immediate medical assistance from audiologists once a person experiences unusual pain.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large Mantey admonished persons who work in noisy environments such as factories with large machines to resort to earplugs or dosimeters to help reduce noise entry into the ears and also to pick noise
