{"id":1007624,"date":"2022-03-02T00:50:41","date_gmt":"2022-03-02T00:50:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/03\/02\/police-were-left-completely-sh0cked-by-what-they-found-inside-a-quantum-at-kensington-johannesburg\/"},"modified":"2022-03-02T00:50:41","modified_gmt":"2022-03-02T00:50:41","slug":"police-were-left-completely-sh0cked-by-what-they-found-inside-a-quantum-at-kensington-johannesburg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/03\/02\/police-were-left-completely-sh0cked-by-what-they-found-inside-a-quantum-at-kensington-johannesburg\/","title":{"rendered":"Police were left completely sh0cked by what they found inside a Quantum at Kensington, Johannesburg"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"\">\n<p>Two victims who were being held hostage by three offenders in a white Toyota Quantum were liberated after several officers from the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department arrested and apprehended them successfully.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, February 19, 2022, at approximately 16:40 pm, officers from the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department who were on patrol along Langerman Drive witnessed two victims being kidnapped and forced into a white Toyota Quantum under the threat of being shot at close range, according to a report published by the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department News.<\/p>\n<p>In one direction, a silver Toyota Etios with no registration plates fled, while in the other, a white Toyota Quantum with the victims inside went in the opposite direction. In Kensington, Maryland, when police officers arrived to rescue the victims from the Quantum, the suspects opened fire on them, resulting in a shootout, which caused the Quantum to lose control and smash into a tree near the intersection of 11th Avenue and 8th Street.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/e226c5c1c44b4416941d9e460389937c\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/279344a7657f4e618d5692f8ff083f35\"\/>In addition to apprehending three suspects and seizing two 9mm firearms from their hands, police were able to rescue the victims, who were uninjured, from their residence. Although the victims were allegedly in possession of substantial cash, it is believed that the other suspects in the Toyota Etios were able to escape with the cash.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1bae3f8ef3be4fa8ba2ccffe3d717614\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The apprehended suspects were found to be wanted for armed and business robberies in the Jeppe area, and they were currently on the run after an investigation revealed that they were currently on bail.
