It was designed to be a medium of instruction and learning while also it is recognized as a medium of verbal interaction world wide. The reason most countries teach English to their children in schools is because many countries especially in Africa were colonized.<\/p>\n<p>Countries that never experienced colonization like China, Korea and more are still catching up with the language hence there are teaching posts for people who would like to teach English internationally. <\/p>\n<p>In SA, many people level English to intellectuality. A person\u2019s IQ level is measured parallel to how they can fluently speak the language. Sizwe Dlomo caused a debate on social media after he corrected a sentence where historic was labelled as \u2018a\u2019 instead of \u2018an\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Sizwe, who is a radio personality in SA, said the correct way to say it is \u2018an historic event\u2019.
