We get on great \u2013 soulmates, I\u2019d say \u2013 but I get frustrated when it comes to sex because he never initiates it.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s a bit overweight and I think this is an issue for him. We usually make love in the dark (or at least with very low lighting) and I always have to take the lead.<\/p>\n<p>I have mentioned his weight in the past, which I think hurt him, but I was trying to make him take his health more seriously and have more pride in himself.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d love some advice.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/7_Coleen-Nolan-cropped-for-columnPNG.png\" alt=\"Coleen Nolan\"\/><figcaption>Coleen Nolan is the Mirror\u2019s resident agony aunt<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4>Coleen says<\/h4>\n<p>Well, it will be insecurity on his part \u2013 he\u2019ll be frightened of rejection and, of course, he\u2019ll remember what you said about his weight and will worry you don\u2019t find him attractive.<\/p>\n<p>I think you need to have a discussion where you tell him that mentioning his weight had nothing to do with you not fancying him and not wanting sex, but you want him to be around as long as he can and want him to be healthy.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this discussion, why not ask him why he doesn\u2019t initiate sex? And tell him that it would be nice to feel that he really wants you.<\/p>\n<p>Try to build his confidence with reassurance and being positive about what you love about him.
