{"id":1005060,"date":"2022-02-26T20:10:57","date_gmt":"2022-02-26T20:10:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/26\/man-beaten-to-death-at-his-home-after-allegedly-killing-his-girlfriend\/"},"modified":"2022-02-26T20:10:57","modified_gmt":"2022-02-26T20:10:57","slug":"man-beaten-to-death-at-his-home-after-allegedly-killing-his-girlfriend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/26\/man-beaten-to-death-at-his-home-after-allegedly-killing-his-girlfriend\/","title":{"rendered":"Man beaten to death at his home after allegedly killing his girlfriend"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"\">\n<p>An apparent mob justice incident was reported to the police, this happened at Ext 4 Qalabotjha. <\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival the police discovered a male, identified as Oupa Daniel Mofokeng (53), lying on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was allegedly in his home on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at about 22:30 at night when a group of community members came to his house and assaulted him. <\/p>\n<p>The reason for the assault is do to the fact that they were accusing him of murdering his girlfriend, who was discovered dead in the veld on Prospect Farm in Villiers on Saturday, February 19, 2022, in Qalabotjha, Villiers.<\/p>\n<p>The man was brought to Mafube Provincial Hospital for medical care, however he died on the 25th of February 2022 at about 09:00, in the morning, from his injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Villiers South African Police Services investigators are looking into a murder investigation, but no arrests have been made yet.
