The number of people on ARV is alarming costing the government billions of rands.<\/p>\n<p>The large number of people who are HIV positive are women. This might also not be accurate because men do not usually go for voluntary testing.<\/p>\n<p>Scientists have found a drug that can prevent HIV. The pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) has been approved as a pill in America. The pills must be taken orally on a daily basis.<\/p>\n<p>Scientists have now turned this in to a jab that can be taken once in two months. Experts believe South Africa should move with haste and make the jab to the citizens.<\/p>\n<p> government heed the advice of experts, South Africans could start getting the jab very soon.
