The disconnection was carried out because it was alleged that the Johannesburg Prison owed the City of Johannesburg R6.8 -million . The facility did not have electricity , as well as water for close to three hours according to the report . <\/p>\n<p>Singabakho Nxumalo , who is the spokesperson for the Correctional Services reportedly dismissed the claims that the facility owed the City of Johannesburg that amount .
