Botswana\u2019s assistant Police Commissioner has confirmed that a shootout took place after 11 heavily armed men attacked and robbed cash-in-transit van in the Gaborone\u2019s main mall.<\/p>\n<p>The robbers fled the scene but were followed and confronted by police at a location just outside Gaborone. The confrontation led to an arrest of a 30-year old Motswana woman. Four pistols and an AK 47 were found on the scene. Most of the stolen cash has been recovered.<\/p>\n<p>ActionSA Leader, Herman Mashaba has applauded Botswana for this action. \u201cI have lots of respect for the Botswana Government. There have no time for criminality, hence their phenomenal economic growth over the last 30 years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/3408e58998524af9945dd3a20bd5f3c0\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong>@Leslie1<\/strong> So this other South African criminal went to Botswana to commit crime\u2026We have issues here of foreign nationals committing crimes yet he does the same as a foreign national. Botswana police did well by getting rid of dangerous criminals from the streets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>@McDee_<\/strong> Us South Africans, unlike Zimbabweans, we welcome this heroic act by Botswana Police Forces. Well done.
