One thing the South African government struggles with, especially the ruling party, is providing people with the necessary services they need in order for their daily lives to function properly, and that the lack of service delivery disadvantages people a lot, especially in certain townships, because that is where most people struggle with being given proper care by the government, compared to those who live in suburbs.<\/p>\n

In many communities in South Africa, people struggle with the basics like receiving water or even proper infrastructure. One of the major issues that citizens are dealing with currently, especially those who use the roads often, is potholes. Across the country, the roads are in very bad condition, and some roads are even reaching a point of deterioration. There have been pictures shared where people show how massive the potholes are on certain roads, and this causes major damage to vehicles. <\/p>\n

In some communities, taxi drivers even avoid driving on certain roads because of how bad the potholes are. They are so bad that a video trended on social media where a taxi was seen stuck inside a big pothole that had rain water inside. It was basically like a little swimming pool.<\/p>\n

The men who were around assisted the driver in pushing the taxi out of the porthole, but as they were pushing, the taxi fell even deeper into the pothole. But then they eventually got it out. This is also a clear example of how potholes damage cars, but they also put people\u2019s lives in danger. The taxi could have easily flipped and the driver could have been injured.<\/p>\n
