We have been seeing a lot of innovation when it comes to South African Brands in the clothing industry. So far we only had not more than eight successful local brands with Drip and Bathu being two of the most popular local shoe brands. Well, it seems more shoe brands are being brought to the market.
Well, recently we have seen the brand called Danko come out of nowhere, and it seems that the brands have grown quite a bit in the past few months. Well, Danko has released their new sneaker and I’m sure we can all agree that the sneaker looks really nice and very clean.
Their new sneakers were posted on their Twitter page and people have been sharing these pictures and it seems they like Danko sneakers.
Some people have said that the Logo for Danko reminds them a bit of the Sneaker we all know and love Drip. Looking at the Logo for Danko and Drip one can see the similarities that everyone is talking about.

The differences between these two logos are very minor, one could even mistake one of them for the other, because of the way they are so similar. Danko didn’t copy Drip but their logos just look alike.
Could it be that the creators of Danko may have gotten some inspiration from the shoe brand Drip? Or are we just seeing similarities that aren’t even there? Everyone seems to be thinking that Danko may have stolen their logo design from Drip but it happens that brands have similar logos or sometimes even the same logo on those rare occasions.
Despite all this, it seems that Danko already has quite a following on social media. Will Danko be the next shoe brand in South Africa to join Drip and Bathu at the top?
