Cash in transit robberies are a major and serious problem that has been terrorising South Africa for a long time, cash in transit robberies negatively impact our country in many different ways, and it has become very clear that the South African government and the law enforcement authorities are failing miserably to deal with this very serious problem.
Unfortunately, the South African government and the law enforcement authorities’ failure to decisively deal with the problem of cash in transit robberies has ended with the senseless loss of the life of an innocent person today (Sunday 20 February).
According to reports from popular crime reporter Yusuf Abeamjee, an innocent bystander was tragically shot and killed by a gang of heavily armed criminals after getting caught in the crossfire after an attempted cash in transit robbery.
