Basetsana Kumalo is a South African business woman, media personality, beauty pageant titleholder, and philanthropist. It has been published a number of times that her career started in 1990 when she was crowned Miss Soweto and also Miss Black South Africa at the age of 16. Kumalo was also crowned Miss South Africa back in 1994 . She also became the first runner-up in Miss World in 1994.
She started at the University of Venda almost three decades ago. Most people don’t know this, but Basetsana Kumalo studied education at the University of Venda.
She posted a picture this morning, talked who the function she attended yesterday. She said she was attending an Inauguration of Adv Mojanku Gumbi as the sixth Chancellor and first female at the University of Venda. She was wearing a Venda attire, and mentioned that she had not been at the university for 28 years. It was a special event, and had to be emotional for her.
She was with her friends, and they were wearing minwenda. They looked stunning. She enjoyed herself so much, and even made a stop to buy some mangoes. She said she was familiar with the place where she was buying her mangoes, Tshakhuma, as she had stayed there during her university days.
