The Corona virus pandemic has tried and tested the economies of all countries in the world.
In South Africa on Saturday 19th of February 2022 a total of 2267 new positive coronavirus cases were recorded. A total of 319 deaths related to coronavirus complications were also recorded.
The number coronavirus related deaths is currently high because of the backlog that the Department of Health was facing.
From the 319 deaths, only 9 where from the past 24 hours. The rest were from previous days. However they’re not been recorded because of delays.
Researchers have urged South Africans, or any Individuals living in South Africa to get vaccinated. They have proven that the vaccine reduces the chances of the individual to need hospitalisation if they contract the virus as well as reducing the risk of death.
There are multiple vaccination centres that are available to individuals who want to get vaccinated.
