An 8 year-old Nombuso Radebe who was a grade 2 pupil is one of the 9 learners that lost their lives when the mini bus they were travelling in overturned on the D267 between Mayflower and Dundonald in Mpumalanga.
A preliminary report has revealed that the mini bus wasn’t roadworthy and didn’t have a permit to transport members of the public. The driver of the mini bus didn’t have a driver’s license, he has since been arrested facing 9 counts of culpable homicide.
This is so sad imagine your child not coming back from school then later on you hear that she’s dead, that would be so heartbreaking. I think that parents should also make sure that they don’t allow any driver they come across to transport their kids to school because it is not safe.
