Cape Town – Camps Bay inhabitants are calling for activity against City authorities engaged with what they say is an illegitimate augmentation of a rezoning application without public support nearby after the engineer’s endorsed rezoning for development had purportedly slipped by.
The call comes after the Camps Bay and Clifton Ratepayers Association effectively stopped development at 22 Sedgemoor Road, after it took the battle to the high court. The occupants’ affiliation made an application to the court to save the arranging endorsement of the structure and a break request was conceded in December to end development work at Erf 2320.
In a letter shipped off ward councilor Nicola Jowell, inhabitant Mark Jackson said designers attempted to take advantage of Camps Bay and frequently nearly pulled off it, “maybe because of specific individual City authorities not taking care of their business of serving general society”.
Jackson said there was a need to rather take care of business, and tidy up the City’s structure plan endorsements office than to continually handle designers.
