If we are being honest, we are all aware that it is unfortunately very common in South Africa to hear about school teachers getting involved in romantic relationships with students/pupils, and most of the time the students/pupils are underage, but unfortunately most of the time the teachers get away with it without receiving any punishment.
However, the students/pupils of a school in Pietermaritzburg called Emzamweni High School have had enough of teachers getting involved with their fellow students/pupils,
According reports, there was some chaos at Emzamweni High School earlier this morning (Thursday 17 February) as the students/pupils were protesting against multiple teachers who are accused of getting involved with students/pupils, the protests reportedly forced the school to suspend classes until a resolution is found.
“We met with the RCL (Representative Council of Learners) and they told us that pupils want the teachers who are accused of sexually harassing the pupils removed from the school.” – Said the chairperson of the school governing body.
