The South African Health Minister Mr Joe Phaahla made a call to the members of the South African community . He said that the South Africans would have to continue adhering to the Covid-19 safety protocols after the lifting of the National State of Disaster .
This came following the President of South Africa’s remarks that the National State of Disaster would come to an end after there would be finalization of some of the measures to contain the pandemic . South Africa has been in a State of National Disaster since the month of March , 2020 .
It was put in place when th country had detected the pandemic , hence the need to manage the virus at national level .In accordance with what the Minister said , the people will have to continue with the wearing of masks , social distancing , sanitising and ensuring that large crowds are avoided or limited .
