Since Paul Pogba’s return to the team after a lengthy injury, he has been a boost to the team. The French Midfielder has been impressive for the Red Devils and sure looks to be in “hot” form. So far, we’ll briefly discuss the three areas he has helped with.
1. Ball Retaining and Stability: One of Paul Pogba’s perks is the ability of ball retention or the ability to hold possession of the ball. He is not easily dispossessed, and this is a huge gain to United because prior to Pogba’s return, the Manchester United midfield department had issues with ball retention. In addition, the midfielder has also brought stability to the team. If you observe closely in his last two games, Paul always made the team play while keeping cool heads, instead of just rushing around with the ball without a precise approach while attacking.
2. Goal Threat: Another key thing Paul has added to the team since his return are goal threats. The 28-year old packs with him the abilities of scoring long-range goals from long-range attempts, creating spaces from tight spaces, final third passes and set piece scoring opportunities too. The midfielder knows how to score, and this will be an added advantage to Manchester United since they’re in difficult times where scoring a goal seems difficult for the team. So far, Paul has scored one goal in two games since his return.
3. Distribution: So far, Paul Pogba has resharpened the team with his style of play, and one attribute of his style of play is quick distribution. The French midfielder knows how to orchestrate counter attacks with just swift distributions, mostly by cross-field passes. His long ranged passes help to cancel out many players and create spaces for attackers.
