Scammers are everywhere and they everyday come with new methods to trick people to fall into their plans that differs everyday, one could be manipulated in such a way of having no way out.
What I know is, millions of people are targeted by scammers every year. A scam is a dishonest way to make money by deceiving vanerable people. There are many different kind of scams and with this article, we are going to help people avoid being scammed.
Scammers may use different approaches when they come to you, they may come in person, by emails, social medias or by using a phone or simply texting you. What you should know, scammers usually do their homework of finding information about you before they could make contact with you.
Their most common technique includes pretending to have a flat tire on the road or use emotional manipulation to draw you in. However, today we got to discover another method of scamming while browsing through Facebook. This one, scammers go around carrying a brick of cash and ask help from people.
“I don’t trust you, bring your phone and give that man by the corner this money. I am still in tears and my phone is gone,” read the post shared by @Thato Matlala. Possibly, this young man’s intentions was to help not knowing he will fall into a victim.
In my opinion. One must always remember that anyone can fall for scams, it is no reflection of intelligence but if you know what to look out for, your less likely to be manipulated. If you have been a victim, please do not keep quiet and withhold the information that can help someone else. There are certainly actions you can take to protect yourself.
