Durban University of Technology closed its campuses after some violent incidents

Some violent incidents at the Durban University of Technology which saw four cars being set alight led to the suspension of physical access to the institution on Tuesday . The Durban University Technology went on and said that after some violent and criminal activities by some of the members of the student organisation on Tuesday morning , physical access to some of the institution’s institutions were suspended .

The campuses that were affected as a result included Ritson Campus , Steve Biko campus , and the ML Sultan campus .In accordance with the announcement , the campuses are going to be closed until further notice .The law enforcement agencies are reported to be investigating a case of malicious damage to property at the institution .The police confirmed that around 11 am , some students gained entry into the institution and set alight a total of four cars . The vehicles were partially burnt .The online registration will not be affected .
