Just as 2023 presidential election approaches, several Nigerians have been asking series of questions. Based on that note, the former senator that represented the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, Senator Shehu Sani has asked an important question.
According to a post he recently made on his Facebook page, the former lawmaker asked a question so as to know why women are not interested in contesting for the presidency of Nigeria.
Within the last few weeks, some notable politicians have declared their intention to contest for presidency, but most of those who declared their intention are mostly men.
Based on this particular question that was asked by Shehu Sani, I really think that the time is right for women to contest for presidency in Nigeria. I don’t think that it is wrong if a woman becomes the president of Nigeria. But it’s only time that will tell.
