Panyaza Lesufi the Gauteng education MEC will be visiting Hoërskool Jan Viljoen to get clarity on the incident that took place at that school.
It is alleged that a racially motivated fight between white learners and black learners broke out at that particular school.
The incident was circulated on all social media platforms in South Africa, As more social media traction picked up and more people started voicing out their opinions. It was picked up by the news and reporters descended at Hoërskool Jan Viljoen.
The video above shows kids of colour talking about what happens to them. It is alleged that the white learners throw food at the kids of colour during break time and when the kids go to the Teachers they take sides of the white school learners.
The Teacher’s are even telling the children of Colour that they will work at retail outlets. Continuously being told that if they do not want to listen they should go back to township schools were they won’t be paying school fees and be with the rest of their kind.
More videos circulated online of parents coming to school to stand in solidarity with their children. A protest even broke out were the children were protesting their grievances.
Panyaza Lesufi is said to be going there to speak with the teachers to get a rundown on whats happening and what caused all this chaos.
He will also be investigating on whether the school has taken any steps to stop these kind of incidents from happening again.
This is’nt the first South African school to have a racial problem, all these problems stem from South Africas past of racial segregation and apartheid.
Alot of voice notes with defamatory words were being shared through whatsapp.
