A passerby saw a young man attempting to r*pe a 6-year-old child at an unfinished structure in the Kasoleri neighbourhood of Ikorodu, Lagos. According to accounts, the man used to live in that region but moved, for unclear reasons, to another location. However, before he went, he and his neighbors had formed a bond of affection.
As a result, on the day he was apprehended, he went to see his neighbors. It was discovered that the neighbors were really friendly. He had plenty of food. When the father sensed their focus had turned away from him, he enticed one of their daughters out.
According to reports, the neighbors were so preoccupied that they didn’t notice when he strolled out of their midst. He was about to r*p the victim when a random person noticed him and alerted the authorities.
An eyewitness, Adedeji Fatuga, posted the incident online. While the neighbors were busy, he enticed one of their daughters to an unfinished building in the neighborhood, his message reads in part.
As he was ready to r*pe the six-year-old girl in the unfinished building near Kasoleri neighborhood, close to Agbala Itura, Ikorodu, he was discovered and captured by a passerby.
While criticising the neighbor’s irresponsible act, Fatuga advised parents to be wary of the individuals they surround themselves with and the people they enable to watch over their children.
