Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC National Communications Officer and Dr. Kingsley Nyarko joined Randy Abbey on Good Morning Ghana today, Thursday, February 3, 2022. The trio discussed issues relating to the UTAG and National Labor Commission impasse. The University Teachers have been on a strike action since tertiary schools reopened. They argue that government has reneged on promises made to them since last year.
Sammy Gyamfi on the show argued that Hon. Adutwum and his team at the Ministry of Education had failed. He was of the view that the government made so much promise about improving the education sector and have failed horribly, as seen in the UTAG strike. Dr. Nyarko however disagreed and noted that when it comes to education the NPP government have outperformed the NDC. He listed a number of policies like free SHS, Double track system, free feeding among others that the government brought.
