The race between Bawumia and Alan Kyerematen on who is to lead the New Patriotic Party ( NPP ) in the coming 2024 elections is getting interesting and tougher. Alan Kyerematen has over they years showed his interest in becoming the flag bearer for NPP and possibly the president of Ghana some years back when he competed against the current president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. He has contested over two times and lost to Nana Addo over the past years and still has interest in leading the party. Dr. Bawumia on the hand has also been booked to be a perfect leader for the NPP in the coming elections.
The supporters of the party are divided between Alan and Bawumia, there are various groups like Alan for 2024 and Friends of Bawumia. Even though Alan Kyerematen has contested so many times Bawumia seems to be taking lead and his current position as the Vice President is making people love him.
