The honourable member of Parliament for Botiano Ngleshie Amanfrom, Hon Sylvester Tetteh has enlightened the public on the decisions the MP’s taken regarding the implementation of the E-levy. In an interview on Adom FM “Dwaso Nsem” he said that in reality the NDC MP’s have accepted the E-levy and are only deceiving their followers.
He disclosed that the Police statement regarding the E-levy has passed by all members of Parliament as part of the 2022 budget. The policy for the E-levy has been passed and all that is left is passing it as a law and implementing it. He added that the only disagreement which came inward concerning the percentage.
Hon Tetteh stated emphatically that the minority leader stood up in Parliament and suggested that the percentage should be made 1% instead of 1.75%, which shows that they agree with the policy. He expressed his disappointment in the NDC MP’s for going about changing their mouth that they do not support the E-levy whereas they have already passed its policy in Parliament.Â
