“My Official Car Has Been Withdrawn” Adelina Mwau Tell off Kibwana Over Intimidation For Joining UDA

Makueni Deputy Governor Adelina Mwau has cried intimidation from Governor Kivutha Kibwana few days after she joined Deputy President William Ruto’s party, UDA.

According to a video shared by the Standard, Mwau claimed that Kivutha has spearheaded the withdrawal of her official car, communication staff and also removal as the overseer in the county’s ministry of health.

“Withdrawing my communication officers, and other duties I was handling as a deputy governor is intimidation. The governor is being known as a human rights advocate. We were together when we were fighting for the new constitution that has given us power of association, where is the freedom now? I am not working in Nairobi, I am in Makueni,” she said.

She went on to re-affirm that she is committed to work for the residents of Makueni in her capacity as the deputy governor until their second term is over, defending her move to join UDA.

After she made the bold decision, Kibwana argued that the move was going to interfere with their working relations but noted that it is her democratic right to associate with any political divide of her choice.

Kibwana is supporting Raila Odinga’s presidential bid under the Azimio La Umoja.
