Over time, the former prime minister of Kenya hon Raila Odinga have been enjoying a good support from the governor of Mombasa county hon Hassan Joho. Joho have been Raila Odinga’s main pillar in the coastal region since 2013 where he was vying for the gubernatorial seat through the ODM party. His support for Raila has given him a chance to be the ODM’s deputy party leader.
Now, today, the ODM boss hon Raila Odinga is reported to have suffered a huge blow from governor Hassan Joho. According to reports made by the Taifa Leo, this blow is coming from Joho’s decision where he has decided to drop his campaign for Mr Odinga. According to this publication, Joho have decided to build his name first leaving Odinga in hands of junior politicians from the coast. This has made Mr Odinga to lose the ground support unlike before.
This will be a blow to Odinga on his presidential ambitions as no one knows what governor Joho is planning bearing in mind that he once declared that he will be vying for presidency on August.
