There comes a time in one’s life when one desires to tie the knot. It happens when you’ve found the one, you’re madly in love with. Many people desire to marry, have husbands and wives, children, beautiful homes, and vehicles, but financial constraints and the inability to find the perfect partners stand in their way.

There are things that appear to be for a woman until a guy decides to pay lobola and make it official. Respect is the initial ingredient, which others will notice later. For the simple reason that people have their different tastes, some people desire attractive, better-looking halves, while others prefer them to just have manners and are unconcerned with their looks.

The most difficult decision a guy can make is choosing the right partner. Women abound, yet there are individuals who do not want to marry for any reason, and they have their own reasons for doing so.

Marriage materials may be found anyplace in South Africa, but because others are only interested in how wealthy a guy is, a man should take the time to learn about them before jumping into anything. Rushing into things can sometimes lead to regrets later.

Funny enough, our mothers frequently push us through, informing us that they prefer ‘abo Makoti’ (in-law daughters) who will give birth to the grand adolescents before they die. Unfortunately, they regularly make decisions for us, deciding who is right and who is wrong for us.

A best daughter in law, in my opinion, is down to earth, respects you and your immediate family, particularly your mother and father. A good one isn’t afraid to use her culinary abilities to cook for your mother and father now and again, and she keeps an eye on them even when they aren’t feeling well.

Makoti can no longer wear exposing or skimpy clothing to your parents’ house since she understands the difference between what is appropriate for the bedroom and what is appropriate for visiting the in-laws.
