The recent circulating news that has undoubtedly sparked massive stir debates and arguments across all social media platforms was when the NDC minority chief whip boldly revealed another deep secret about the Member of Parliament for Fomena over the most anticipated E-levy.
Speaking in a recent interview with host, Kwesi Parker-Wilson, the NDC Minority Chief whip, Honorable Muntaka Mubarak undoubtedly confessed to convincing the Independent candidate and Member of parliament for Fomena to join the minority caucus in voting against the most anticipated E-levy but it seemed all efforts were futile as Honorable Andrews Amoako Asiamah unexpectedly refused the minority’s offer.
With respect to this, the deputy minority leader, Honorable Muntaka Mubarak took the privilege to reveal another unexpected secret about the Member of Parliament for Fomena as he highlighted that, Honorable Andrews Asiamah was approached by a prominent King and convince him in rejecting the minority’s offer hence voting in favor of the E-levy.
“I spent time talking to his wife than himself as part of my strategy. I told her what we are ready to offer if he comes on board until a powerful king called him and obviously we all respected that king. So yes, there was an attempt to poach him to the NDC and we were almost succeeding then the powerful king called him, so when he told him I said, ‘Well this is a king that me myself I reverse so it will not be good to disobey him’”, NDC Minority Chief Whip, Honorable Muntaka Mubarak emphatically revealed.
In addition to this, the Minority Chief Whip, Honorable Muntaka Mubarak revealed that, he tried to advice the member of parliament for Fomena, Andrews Asiamah to consider how the NPP treated him and hence he should neglect their offer and join the minority but it seemed all efforts were futile.
“I advice him by stating that, ‘You know how they treated you, don’t accept anything. If you accept a ministerial position they will humiliate you’”, Honorable Muntaka emphatically added.
