The Government of Ghana led by President Nana Akuffo Addo and Dr Bawumia are trying all means possible to introduce electronic levy (E-Levy). This has been vehemently opposed by the people of Ghana, especially members of the National Democratic Congress as they believe millions of cedis can saved if the New Patriotic Party close all corruption leakages.
The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr Mahmud Bawumia has called on Christians to partner the state in fighting Corruption in the country. He made plea at an ordination and consecration ceremony in Accra, on Sunday 30th January, 2022.
The second gentleman said, ” I commend the Anglican Church for it’s enormous contributions towards the growth and development of Ghana over the last century. I also urge the Church to use the pulpit and religious platforms to partner the state to curb corruption and facilitate development in Ghana”.
From the vice President’s message, it is very obvious that the Government of Ghana needs the support of Religious organisations to propagate the Electronic Levy agenda.
In spite of being a Muslim, Dr Bawumia has become a regular feature in church and Christian activities in recent times.
