The member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Agyapong has today made some revelations on Oman Fm in relation to the Appiatse Explosion.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, the Maxam needs to be closed down with immediate effect because they fail to seek to advice. Speaking on The National Agenda Show at the radio station, Kennedy added that when this imports explosives from Spain, they intend to add more value to these explosives by adding diesel and ammonia to explosives. This mixture is said to make the explosives very powerful to cause more damage when working with it.
He added that these explosives should have been mixed with these materials on the very site the works. He added that what the does is to do the mixture somewhere then transfers it to the mining site which he believes it is dangerous.
Kennedy Agyapong believes that any small hit at the transporting truck can cause mayhem. He added that people have warned the to do these mixtures at the mining site only but the does not adhere to such advice.
He is therefore urging the government to close down the in Ghana and also sack all their their staffs.
He also added that, the has even failed to help the people at Appiatse despite causing damage to them. He is therefore urging the insurance to take care of all the cost the has caused.
He made all these revelations this morning at Oman FM while speaking on National Issues at their morning program.
