Abuakwa State College is a Senior High School located in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The School has produced a lot of great people in the country and beyond. There is a famous statue in the school and I will be sharing with you the history behind that statute.
When you enter Abuakwa State College popularly called Abusco, you will see a statue infront of their administration block. The statue involves a male and female student hugging each other while holding a book. That statue was built to show “unity and academic excellence”. Some people are also of the view that, it’s just a funny statue and should be removed. One guy on social media recounted how people were suspended in the school because of the statue.
I think the motive behind the statue is good but the statue itself is questionable. Just look at the position of the hand of the guy in the statue. Please comment below your thoughts about this famous statue.
