Bawumia Is Practicing What He Vowed Never To Do To Ghanaians In A Twitter Comment 7 Years Ago

The E-Levy is not just about the people fighting their government. It is the government fighting its own government. It is NPP people fighting the people of NPP.

In 2015 Bawumia started an agenda that has become a nightmare for the finance minister in 2021. His statement cited on Twitter dated 2nd December 2015 is still ringing a bell in the heads of Ghanaians.

From a clear indication, it’s Bawumia fighting Bawumia. It is Akufo-Addo fighting Akufo-Addo. The man in the mirror is fighting the man in the mirror. Or fighting the mirror and the man. It is powerful 2015 rhetoric fighting a powerful 2022 reality.

When you look at how an investment banker like Ken Ofori-Atta can propose that moving my own money from my wallet to my other wallet attracts a tax, you realize that Ken Ofori-Atta is fighting Ken Ofori-Atta.

What is at stake is not only the economy, it is the very soul of the NPP. What it has told us that it stands for, what it would have told Mahama if he was the one standing for e-levy in 2015.

With this in mind, know that when a government official stands up to defend or explain e-levy, he does not relate to people screaming.

He hears a much more scream in his mind and memory are screaming at his mouth to rebel and say ‘no!’. He may look calm while explaining but in reality, his, inner self is shivering in a great but silent revolt.

But he has to say ‘yes’ because in opposition the song is free freestyle but in government, the song is a scripted hymn that everyone in the choir must echo harmoniously without a second thought.

It can be rounded that E-Levy is now a leveler for the opposition party but a hidden ghost in the closet of the ruling party trying to send it back to sleep.

The NPP must by whatsoever means push for the streamlining of the E-Levy because of its known economic benefits to the country whereas they will by so doing that close down every attempt of opposition and consultations.
