Trotro Diaries: Unfortunate Events You Are Likely To Encounter In The Ghanaian Trotro

Most of us have been accustomed with boarding public vehicles. These vehicles come with their own problems but sometimes, we have no options but to shut up and endure the unpleasant stuff that comes with them.

This article is going to talk about some uncomfortable situations you are likely to experience once you make the “trotro” or 207 your best friend.

1. Getting stuck between people twice your size

This is what I mostly hate about public vehicles. You sit beside some people and feel them squeezing the life out of you. The funny thing about it all is that, you all will pay the same fare.

Aside people twice your size, there are some arrogant people who open their legs wide no matter the stress you are going through.

2. Sitting beside a mate with poor personal hygiene

Some conductors neither bath nor wash and their smell is enough to attract catarrh within the shortest possible time.

3. Sitting at a position which requires you to get down when someone is alighting.

This is one of the stressful moments one can ever encounter in a “trotro”.

4. Being late and seeing the driver delay.

This really hurts and it mostly happens in the mornings. Imagine being late for work and the driver asking the mate to go and look for passengers who are nowhere to be found.

5. The problem of asking for your change.

Asking for your change is a normal thing but sometimes, it becomes a headache for passengers.
